A former yacht club with excellent water views was re-cast into the headquarters of a specialty coffee broker. Included in the two story renovation are a tasting room with custom storage for bean samples, private offices for the partners and a trading floor for the brokers. The project includes special details such as custom stair handrails to accelerate travel between the ground floor and upstairs, stained wood framed window wall partitions for the private offices, and custom furniture for desk-side computer equipment. The ample atrium skylight over the trading floor provides enough daylight to also fill adjacent office spaces while the narrow width of the footprint allow for effective cross ventilation.
