The program for start-up Spa, International Orange, included gracious locker rooms, multiple private treatment rooms, interior lounge, an outdoor landscaped sun terrace, reception and retail areas, as well as a yoga studio overlooking the heart of the Fillmore St. shopping district. Elevated above the stress of the City to occupy an entire 2nd floor, we transformed a former office space into one of San Francisco’s premier Spa destinations by careful planning and attention to details. Line of sight axis is maintained between the entry point and exterior gardens that become a focal point for interior loop circulation around an egg-shaped treatment room opposite a waiting lounge with a fireplace and view of the outdoor landscaped terraces. Cherry wood flooring unifies all spaces beneath a minimalist palette of detailing, art and furniture designed to soothe the body, calm the mind, and restore the spirit.
