Lot density was maximized on this steeply downsloped triangular property, previously rejected as unbuildable. Six detached houses, planned for simplicity of construction, were built within tight budgets to provide maximum floor areas that take advantage of expansive views across SF Bay to the west. The new neighborhood features homes with 2 car attached garages and front door foyers to main living levels (living room, kitchen, powder room, dining areas) that lead to semi-circular balconies. Curved glass balustrades preserve views.
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms occupy mid-level, including a master suite towards the view. The lower third level provides space for a studio, office space, or gym with a fully glazed western view. The battened wood exterior and gable roof are part of an elementary aesthetic that announces a modern space built with an economy of mean.
